N:
According to Deutsche Schachzeitung, 44 competitors participated with 38
four-movers and 44 three-movers. The tourney book disagrees, and claims 40 four-movers, and 43 three-movers. The number of mottos is reported as
47, as three sets (nr. 9, 26 and 41) include 2 mottos
each. The report in the tourney book does not seem to
take this into account, and refers to two of these problems by the set number
(nr 26 = 26a, and 41 = 41a) in its report of faults.
The #4 of K. Bayer's shared set prize does not appear to have been printed
in Deutsche Schachzeitung, but appears in the congress book with the
surprising heading Ehrend erwähnte Sendung.
